Sunday

I've noticed that the length of time it takes me to enter "true vacation mode" when we travel is considerably shorter than it was just a few years ago. This is the point on a vacation at which I finally feel like I can disconnect from email for a bit. The journey to true vacation mode is easier, too. I think this is due to a combination of my changing attitude and the fact that I have great people around me at work. They can handle everything, and I'm realizing that they don't always need me, and that's a good thing.

Renee and I walked along the beach a bit this morning. There's an odd structure that sits on the north side of the inlet to Palm Beach harbor (not sure of the harbor's official name). It provided a makeshift fishing pier for a lot of folks.
