Fucking-A right. USA!
This research was limited to written communications. I’d love to see an analysis of “everyday speech.” It feels like swearing in conversation has become more accepted over recent years, or at least like it carries less shock value. I still won’t swear when talking to my mother, or mother-in-law, but I’m mostly unfiltered otherwise.
Interestingly enough, I’m very guarded online, to the point that I have a high degree of confidence that the f-bomb above marks the first in my decades-long online presence.
