I stopped on the way home to check in on the progress of the guitar project. The glue is cured and the clamps are off. The body looks and feels good. The perimeter is sanded and rounded over and the pocket for the pickup is cut. Controls will be cut next. Here, Jonathan and Grandpa Denny are starting to plan the neck.

You can never have too many clamps! The body is glued up and ready for storage. Jonathan and Grandpa will be back on it in a few days.

Two cutouts of 3/4" plywood, layered and glued, will make the 1.5" thick body.

Jonathan started his guitar project with Grandpa Denny today. He's building his own electric guitar. They made great progress, getting the body shape cut and glued.
