Graduation Speaker Plagiarizes Speech, Returns Honorary Degree - Plagiarism Today (plagiarismtoday.com)

commencement plagiarism is unique in that it victimizes the audience twice: first, by lying to them and second, by overshadowing them.

I get the first part, but the second seems like an exaggeration. I mean, no one remembers anything about my accomplishments as a graduate in the audience at the Spring, 1992 commencement ceremony at The Ohio State University. Surely, though, they remember that Bernadine Healy, Director of NIH, delivered the commencement address.

Ohio Republican lawmaker wants to ban noon Ohio State football games • Ohio Capital Journal (ohiocapitaljournal.com)

“A few weeks ago, I said it would be a crime for FOX to put Ohio State vs Texas at noon,” Fischer said in a post on X, formerly known as Twitter. “Promises made, promises kept!”

The Ohio Attorney General would slap a $10 million fine against either the host team’s athletic conference or the television network broadcasting if a game was played starting at noon — “whichever party scheduled the earlier start time,” according to the bill.

Just when you think the economics of college football couldn’t get any weirder. Ten million bucks to play at noon. I’m fairly confident this is ridiculous and has no chance of moving forward, but who knows any more.

But, hey, at least the Ohio State-Michigan game earned at exception. It is “traditionally played at noon” after all. Because, you know, we’ve got to keep tradition in the game.

Ohio State Didn’t Lose A Single Scholarship Player During the Spring Transfer Window (elevenwarriors.com)

“I woke up with a little bit of a headache, because it was a long night last night. That first beer went down cold after the portal finally closed at midnight, I can tell you that,” Day said. “Holy smokes, what a world we're living in right now.”

I can't imagine being a college football head coach these days. They're navigating uncharted territory on a daily basis. I admit to calling for Day's firing after his loss to TTUN last year, but "[h]oly smokes" is he crushing it.

The state of Ohio State football is strong.

And we'll get *ichigan this year.

Bronny James, son of NBA superstar LeBron James, commits to the University of Southern California | CNN (cnn.com)

The guard, who played high school basketball at Sierra Canyon in Los Angeles, chose USC over Oregon and Ohio State.

My Buckeyes lost out. Or avoided the circus. Or both.
